The annual ball, which will be held on the February 15, 2020 aims to donate as much as possible to the Ronald McDonald House North Australia.
Local franchisee of McDonalds Mount Isa, Cristina Davis is excited at the opportunity to get behind a charity that provides so much for families in the region in their time of need, and understands how vital this support can be.
"My partner, sister and nephews have all used the house, so we know how important this charity is to these families," Ms Davis said.
"We sponsor the RMHC as we want to be able to give these families a place to stay without having to worry about costs and be able to be with their children."
Last year, $116,000 was raised and donated to the Ronald McDonald House as a result of the Charity Ball held here in Mount Isa. The ball committee are hoping that this year they can exceed that amount.
"Last year we were stoked to beat our previous record by just over $20,000 which is so great for the house in Townsville, we certainly hope to build on that each year," Larnah Puttock said.
Thanks to another overwhelming response from local businesses who are keen to sponsor the event, the committee are already on track to donate another massive amount.
All funds raised at the ball go directly to the Ronald McDonald House in Townsville, which provides care and support to many families in the area through their House, Learning Program, Family Retreat, Family Room and Hospitality Cart. In 2018 alone, the house provided 1,111 nightly stays for families from the North West.
