The ceremony will begin at 10.30am. MC will be Mount Isa RSL Sub-branch member Jim Nuttall and will include guest speakers. A minute's silence will be observed at 11am. The ceremony will also include a reading of The Ode of Remembrance and a sounding of The Last Post.
Those intending to lay a wreath at the cenotaph should inform the MC before the ceremony begins.
Dress is with full decorations and medals.
While there will be marquees for shaded seating during the ceremony, due to the time of year attendees are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and a hat. Cold water and tea and coffee will also be available in the Civic Centre foyer.
The ceremony will be followed by refreshments at the Buffs Club, on the corner of Simpson and Marian streets.
Remembrance Day is a nationally recognised day of commemoration held on November 11 each year to mark the anniversary of the end of World War I and to remember the service and sacrifice of all who gave their lives in all wars, conflicts and peace operations.
