Mr McGrady said ministers would benefit from meeting Mount Isa locals and hearing first hand about the issues that matter most to them.
"The Premier and her Government have a well deserved reputation for listening to Queenslanders and for devoting their attention to all parts of the State and it is important that they continue this policy," Mr McGrady said.
"I believe that it is important that they continue to actively demonstrate their willingness to get out to every corner of Queensland, especially a place like Mount Isa that makes such a massive economic contribution to the North West, The State of Queensland and Australia."
Mr. McGrady said that last week ministers and MPs met in Longreach, Cairns and Townsville attending regional forums and these initiatives are certainly welcomed but I want to see the whole Cabinet here in Mount Isa and the North West to meet the people, listen to their opinions and see for themselves the plight of our country cousins.
"As a long time resident and representative of this important region and as someone who knows the workings of government from inside and out, I feel I'm in the best position to stand up and issue this direct call to Premier Palaszczuk and her cabinet."
