The event will be held from 6.30pm to 9pm on Friday, November 22 and will feature a concert by ABC Kids favourites Lah-Lah's Big Live Band, the special soulful melodies of local duo Pacific Groove, and performances by the talented students of the Mount Isa School of Dance, all in the air-conditioned surrounds of the Civic Centre auditorium.
There will also be free gingerbread for the kids, a visit by Santa Claus, and Christmas-themed market stalls, as well as food and drink stalls.
Following the concert, at 8pm the festivities will then continue outside for the lighting of the large Christmas tree on the Civic Centre's front lawn by Mayor Joyce McCulloch.
This will be accompanied by performances by the Combined School Choir with the Rolling Tones, who will fill the air with the sounds of cherished Christmas carols and will be led by singer and teacher Kate Hartley.
