At around 10.30am on Friday November 8, it is alleged a boy ran up behind a female pushing a trolley through the rear car park of the Mount Isa Village shopping centre and removed a wallet that had been sitting in the child seat section of the trolley.

It is further alleged that members of the public chased the boy and that he discarded the wallet under a nearby vehicle.
After a short foot pursuit, police arrested the boy on Grace Street.
A 13-year-old Mornington boy has been charged with one count of stealing from the person, along with five counts of enter premises, in relation to a number of recent steal from motor vehicle offences.
He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
