Playing on home soil was not enough to inspire Cloncurry to get over the line when they took on the former winless Warrigals.

The clash played at Eddie Lee Field on Saturday saw Warrigals get themselves on the winner's board with an impressive 24-17 win over the in-form Cloncurry.
Cloncurry forward Eric Barker said the Warrigals used their big bodies well at the start of the game.
"They put a lot of pressure on our defensive line and allowed their quick players to score a couple of early tries," Barker said.
That was exactly the case when the teams headed into the sheds at half time with scores at Warrigals 17 Cloncurry 7.
This was largely due to Warrigals Ryan Cassidy and Craig Ryan who were dangerous every time they got the ball and Craig Lansdowne scoring himself a double.
Barker said Cloncurry's Michael Pritchard rolled up his sleeves and put in a really gutsy effort in the engine room.
"The Cloncurry-based players really put in a good effort on their home turf, big Geoffrey was dangerous out wide and Burt was strong up front.

Barker said he expects Cloncurry to bounce back this week.
"We have Euros this week and I think we will go well if we defend well and use our quick forwards on the edge of the ruck."
In the other game the Euros had a week they would rather forget, not having enough players to take on the Keas and subsequently forfeiting the game.
This Saturday the games return to Mount Isa and Cloncurry take on Euros at 6pm and the Warrigals versus the Keas at 8pm.
