The premier made the presentation at the community reception on Monday evening at the Irish Club during her two-day cabinet visit to the city.
She thanked Mount Isa Mayor Joyce McCulloch for providing council chambers for the purpose of the cabinet meeting.
I wonderful to be here in Mount Isa and bring the cabinet here," Ms Palaszczuk said.
"We believe it is essential to bring the cabinet and decision makers to the region to hear what you have to say."
Deputy Premier Jackie Trad also spoke and said North West Queensland was crucial to the state.
"The North West can be the powerhouse of the new global economy and can help with new industries and new jobs," Ms Trad said.
The government announced $33 million in new initiatives on the Tuesday at the North West Minerals Province summit.
