But I don't believe that people realise the other numerous activities which took place involving the Premier and her ministers.
One such meeting was the North West Minerals Province Summit which was held on the Tuesday following Mondays Cabinet meeting.
Those involved in the meeting were the Premier, the Deputy Premier and Treasurer, Minister For State Development, and Minister for Mines and Energy together with most of the leaders of the mining industry, MITEZ, Townsville Enterprise, Townsville Port authority and the Mayors from the shires surrounding Mount isa.
This meeting discussed the future of the mining industry in the North West and the positive initiatives which were happening in the Industry and the assistance which was forthcoming from the State Government.
One of the major concerns raised at the meeting was the suggestion to the federal government that the Zone Allowance be removed from residents of remote areas.
This concern was expressed and articulated by Queensland Deputy Premier Jackie Trad.
At the recent Senate Inquiry held in Mount Isa the local branch of the ALP submitted two submissions seeking an increase in zone allowances.
Now we have this suggestion that it be abolished.
The communities of the North West need to join with one voice, forget the petty politics and fight as never before to ensure that this suggestion does not see the light of day.
I stand ready to join a campaign to prevent this from happening for if it does it will make it harder to attract people to come and live in the North West and other remote areas.
I would welcome ideas as to how best we lead this fight.
This is one battle that we must WIN
Look forward to hearing your views.

On Tony Abbott
Recently in Sydney, the Liberals held a testimonial dinner for Tony Abbott.
They uttered a lot fake news about him, because they had to avoid the most basic truth of his political career -- the fact that he should never have been in Parliament at all.
The Constitution says that the likes of Tony Abbott are incapable of being elected.
Section 44(i) bans those who have the rights and privileges of foreign citizenship.
Tony Abbott has those in Britain.
He is patrial, so he may enter that foreign country using the citizens' queue.
Once inside, he may live, work and study there without limit or restriction.
He may also vote there and stand for public office.
He may even claim welfare on the same basis as a citizen.
It's hard to think of what more rights and privileges would have been needed to bring Tony Abbott within the scope of section 44(i).
The same applies right now to Sussan Ley, John Alexander, and Josh Frydenberg (thanks to Israel's Law of Return).
The Liberals don't want anyone to know this because throwing out just these three illegal MPs would destroy Scott Morrison's majority.
To those Liberals already screaming out the names of Julia Gillard, Bill Shorten, Doug Cameron and Mark Dreyfus, I can only say, "Thank you for admitting the truth of this point about Tony Abbott.
It took you long enough. You will, of course, treat him like a dole cheat and make him pay back all that money which he should never have got.
And now about those who provide Morrison's majority ...
