At around 12.45am on Saturday November 16, police spoke with a man outside the Buffs Club.
The man had been evicted by security and allegedly attempted to re-enter the premises multiple times.
Police placed the man under arrest and began walking him to the police vehicle. Allegedly, the man began to aggressively obstruct both officers and a struggle ensued on the ground. One male officer was bitten on the forearm and the other was struck in the throat.
A 20-year-old Pioneer man has been charged with two counts of serious assault police officer and will appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on December 9.
