Cavaliers captain Jason Wellington praised his bowlers for keeping the Bulls total to a chasable 188.
"Riaan Van Zyl starred with the ball alongside the new recruit Soharn Perera," Wellingotn said.
Bulls openers Faisal (1) and Jones (11) were back in the sheds early with the scores at 2-12 after four overs.
The wickets continued to fall and Van Zyl ended on 3-26 off seven and Dom 2-12 off six.
Patrick was the only standout in the Bulls innings with a gallant 111 not out and no one else scoring over 20.
Needing slightly over four an over to win the Cavaliers decided to play their shots early and it came off.
Wellington said the partnership between Corey Moon (63) and the return of Adam Moes (93 not out) brought the game home.
The Cavs chased down 188 in the 28th over with just three wickets lost.
In the other match the hungry Panthers took on the Black Stars.
Winning the toss and batting first the Panthers got off to a terrible start with their top order collapsing to 3-25 after six overs.
This made skipper Ben Ryan (22) and Genocky (34) consolidate and steady the ship with a 50 run partnership.
Panthers captain Ben Ryan said their partnership came at a cost.
"It was good that we steadied the ship but our run rate was a bit slow which didn't help," Ryan said.
"Late order hitting from Parker (45) and Burri (30) ensured we got to at least 179."
The Panthers restricted total was mostly due to some tight bowling from Conlan who took 3-25 off seven.
Needing to come out strong Ryan knew his side needed early breakthroughs.
"Our bowling started ok but no early wickets and constant boundaries meant they got a head start," Ryan said.
The Stars did't lose their first wicket until the 14th over with the score reading 1-70.
Still in opener Scott Kyle went on to do the bulk of the damage with a 71 full of boundaries.
A late order blitz from Fullove 3-26 off seven put the Panthers back in the game but it was not enough.
Black Stars chased the total down in the 29th over.
