When $1.40 favourite Deadly Choices ridden by Dan Ballard won the Mount Isa Spring Cup on October 5 it also won through the $105,000 final over 1600m in Doomben on November 30.
Hopefully it will be second time lucky for the Damien Finter-trained galloper.
In June Deadly Choices was hailed as the likely winner of the $175,000 Battle of the Bush Final when a posse surged across the line, only for him to lose the verdict by a nose.
The winner of the Cloncurry Cup on October 12 was also scheduled to be among the 16 qualifiers for the Country Cups Challenge but when Deadly Choices also won that, it freed up a place for the 2018 Cloncurry Cup winner Loud Enough trained by Steven Royes.
Kerry Krogh horses Rock Tsar and Snippy Strategic have also qualified for the big race.
