Within a few verses, a couple more joined in and then a couple more, until finally there were 12 carollers who received the applause at the end.
The mob were the new local group called the Rolling Tones, the brainchild of local chanteuse Kate Hartley and her Outback School of the Arts project.
The Rolling Tones made their debut at last week's Christmas in the City and plan to get bigger and better with auditions on January 29.
The school also provides singing lessons, drama and art classes.
