Spectators were in for a treat as players showcased their talent.

Newly elected Mount Isa Basketball President Jerome Sopoaga said he was particularly pleased with the development and progress of their juniors.

"There is so much talent here in the Isa, I hope we can get as many sponsors on board as possible because we have the ability to take a couple of teams to State level competitions," Sopoaga said.

"This season has been great for our basketball community and great for Mount Isa. I look forward to what's in store in years to come", Sopoaga said

The first match of the seniors was the C-grade women's finals match was between Sonic Health and BAM Semi Pros.

Sonic had been dominant throughout the season, however BAM Semi Pros weren't going to make it easy as they tested Sonic throughout the game with solid defence.

Sonic however, even with four players the entire game were cool under pressure.

The Sonics were led by team captain Kylie Toms who top scored with 9 points.

Final score Sonic 17 BAM Semi Pros 11.

The C-grade men's final between Spartans and Dukes Black saw a fast-paced game between two rivals.

Dukes Black (formerly Isa Wolves) had always been dominant over the years.

But the Spartans were on a mission to take their first championship.

JM Sapinosa top scored with 17 points. Final score Spartans 61, Dukes Black 41.

The B-grade women's final was between Blazers Social and Diamonds.

Diamonds were competitive right from tip-off, even having a strategy of keeping their players energised and fresh by subbing off at every chance they got.

Blazers Social having established a commanding lead early in the game helped to secure their victory by full time.

Aaliyah Harrison top scoring with 21 points.

Final score Blazers Social 40 Diamonds 31.

B-grade men's final between Dukes White and Suds in the Buckets saw an entertaining and physical game.

It was close throughout the game and a winner could not be determined until the final whistle.

Throughout the match Suds had control, and had held the lead for the majority of the game, but thanks to a very determined young team in Dukes White - they sealed the game 53 points to 51.

Kobe-Jay Johnson top scored with 16 points.

In the A-grade women's final the Blazers would come up against old rivals the Celtics.

Team Celtics were without one of their scorers in Pearl Issacson due to injury, however they came to play and compete.

The game started with both teams trading buckets however, team Blazers were more focused.

They were determined to leave it all on the court in their quest for another championship.

There was some great hustle play by Gracie Ryder and Yvette Silayo but the pace and offense by Lisa Barry and Aaliyah Harrison.

Blazers would be crowned champions taking the game 69 points to 29.

Aalijah Harrison once again top scoring with 22 points.

The final match of the evening saw two giants, Beers University led by Jordan Harries and Panda led by Zach Bell.

It was game of skill testing endurance and discipline.

Beers Uni had taken a very commanding lead in the first half (41-23), but Panda would come back strong in the second half, almost causing an upset.

They rallied together putting on an excellent display of defence led by Matt Dewar as well as some scoring abilities by Josh Caldwell. Harries of Beers Uni would once again take control of the game and would ensure his team would get the win.

Beers Uni taking the game 71 points to 66.

Jordan Harries topped scored with 32 points.
