Mount Isa police charged four juveniles on 28 charges Friday following a spate of property offences overnight.

Police received a large number of calls for service overnight regarding several stolen motor vehicles and burglary offences. The juveniles were arrested as a result of information received from residents.
Acting Inspector Neil King said the reporting of crime by the community have had a significant impact.
"We are extremely concerned with this type of offending in Mount Isa. This type of offending behaviour will not be tolerated by police or the community," Acting Inspector Neil King said.
The Mount Isa community can expect to see increased police presence on the streets over this weekend, with a strategy implemented to making the community safer.
Members of the community are encouraged to call Policelink on 131 444 to report and an offence or Triple Zero if it is an emergency.
