The opening match was between Cloncurry and Warrigals and was the beginning of a close rivalry.
Both sides remained competitive until Cloncurry took over near the end recording a 55-31 victory.
The Euros were the other side on opening weekend to start their season off victorious.
Younger legs proved too deadly as they outran the Keas by a whopping 47 points to win 52-5.
The following week winners Cloncurry and Euros met.
Remarkably, there was no winner after full time.
After a hard fought first half Cloncurry found themselves slightly ahead 7-5 as they headed into the sheds.
Euros then sprinted out to claim the first two tries of the second half.
But Cloncurry hung on until the very end, scoring two tries in the last five minutes to level the scores 19-19 at the siren.
In the second game Keas defeated Warrigals 29-17 through pure discipline and self-control.
Keas Coach Sonny Foster said they only had 12 players but still managed to play a smart game.
The final matches of round one saw Euros take on Warrigals and Cloncurry play Keas on Friday, November 1.
In the first half of their game the Dingoes came out fighting and opened the scoring with a try to Hunter Chong followed by a conversion from Craig Lansdowne.
Warrigals maintained their composure to stay in the lead but Euros came back fighting with a try to James George.
At half time the score was 14-7 to Warrigals who had their eyes on an upset.
But it was not meant to be and Euros won the game 34 - 14.
The second match on the night had Cloncurry continue their theme of playing until the final whistle when they clashed with Keas.
For second straight week Cloncurry found themselves on 19-19 with just minutes left on the clock.
Cloncurry then crossed the line with just a minute left on the clock after taking advantage of a penalty.
That led to a converted try and the game ended 26-19 to Cloncurry.
The opening match of round two was played in Cloncurry, where the Warrigals kick started their season off.
The clash at Eddie Lee Field saw Warrigals get themselves on the winner's board with an impressive 24-17 win over the in-form Cloncurry. This was the only match of the round with Euros forfeiting their game.
Heading into the back end of the year Cloncurry were looking to bounce back against the Keas after a dip in form.
Bouncing back is exactly what they did, beating the Keas 31-5.
The second match between Euros and Warrigals was a good clean game with even numbered teams.
The Warrigals played really well and put up a good fight but went down 53-5.
The final match of the year was played out between rivals Warrigals and Cloncurry.
This time it was a point scoring fiesta with the Warrigals winning 41-33 in the only game due to forfeit in the other.
Once we return in February the competition looks fierce with each team capable of beating one another.
Whoever is crowned 2020 champions will most likely come down to whoever turns up on the day.
