This is a forward thinking move which reinforces that Mount Isa is looking toward a long and secure future.
I do however have a favourite piece of Infrastructure, which Mayor Joyce's Team secured for our city, and that is the Regional Art Gallery.
The Gallery inside the Outback at Isa Complex, is displaying one of the most exciting Indigenous Art displays that North Queensland has ever seen, and Mount Isans must be delighted that the works have been painted by two young Indigenous sisters, born and bred in Mount Isa.
This Exhibition follows a memorable season provided by three other World Class local artists, which included Pottery from Michele Savoye.
Mount Isa should be proud of their super talented Artists, and the superb Art Gallery which can accommodate painting from the world's best galleries.
It might be worth adding that the current exhibition continues into January 2020.

Amanda Stoker
Amanda Stoker is the Christian Liberal who replaced George Brandis in the Senate.
She has a Facebook post at the moment claiming to defend religious liberty.
But for some reason she just won't answer some basic questions.
First, exactly what is it which people of faith cannot do at the moment?
Just what do they need special freedom for? Unrestricted child abuse, maybe?
Putting gays into gas chambers, like Fred Nile wants?
And how does special freedom for religious Australians avoid the Constitution's ban on handing out benefits on the basis of religion?
Second, when will Amanda Stoker call for Israel Folau's cousin to be reinstated at the Catholic school where he used to work?
After all, this Protestant man was merely exercising his own religious freedom when he slagged off the whole of the Catholic church ("synagogue of Satan", "masked devil worship", "false doctrine filled with lies").
Yet he lost his job because of it.
Here is a perfect example of what Scott Morrison's proposed religious freedom law is all about.
Third, when we get religious freedom, will doctors be free to exercise their own beliefs by giving blood transfusions to Jehovah's Witnesses?
On the operating table, for instance?
Regardless of the Constitution, will Medicare benefits be paid to Jehovah's Witnesses only when the doctors are Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or atheist, not Christian?
Do Mormons count as Christians here?
And what about a gay married doctor of no religious belief who saves the life of a Jehovah's Witness with a blood transfusion?
Such an event is quite possible in an emergency operation after a car smash.
So -- Senator Stoker? Or perhaps Prime Minister Scott? Devout Catholic family man Barnaby Joyce?

There was plenty of support for John Moran's proposal (Letters, Star January 14) for a miners' memorial in Mount Isa
Steve Trevor Our family would definitely support this proposal. Would love to see this as part of the 100 year celebration. I will pledge $1000 to assist with John's proposal.
Rose Varley Yes we would also pledge to see this become something special for those always in our hearts
Kellie Cavanagh I lived in Mt Isa for many years and have lived in Moranbah for the past 15years and I think this is just such a beautiful way to remember our miners. However ours is placed in the Town square and it's great there as you see kids and parents sitting there having picnics etc surrounded by such a honourable place!
