Organisers said that like everyone in Australia they were shocked, devastated and saddened by the scale of the crisis, and the impact it has had on the lives of so many people and communities.
"Many of our past patrons and volunteers have been impacted by the bushfires as have many of those who are planning to attend or volunteer this year," the Bash said.
"Many of our crew are also in impacted communities and have been involved in various roles at the frontline of the crisis."
Although the 2020 Big Red Bash has been sold out they have worked on making room for 25 more families or couples, and will be selling 25 Big Red Bash Bushfire Support family packages with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the Bushfire Crisis.
The packages are priced at $2000 which is higher than family tickets were before they sold out and will include the two day early entry pass, prime allocated campsite near the front and a Big Red Bash festival poster signed by the artists.
The Bash said it will match funds from this initiative to make their total donation $100,000.
The 25 family packages (which can also be bought by couples without families) will be chosen via a ballot entry system.
They will accept entries into a ballot from now until 5pm Tuesday 14th January 2020 (AEDT).
You should only enter the ballot if you are prepared to make payment in full for your Bushfire Support Ticket Package by Thursday 16th January 2020 should you be a ballot winner.
The 2020 Big Red Bash is on July 7-9 headlined by Paul Kelly.
