The competition will kick off on Monday January 27 from 6.30pm at the Mount Isa Multi-Purpose Sports and Recreation Stadium (basketball stadium) and will run for 12 weeks.
The competition will consist of eight teams who will compete for the chance to be named champions in the inaugural event.
President of the MIBA Jerome Sopoaga said the new competition was going to be awesome.
"I'm looking forward to adding mixed volleyball to Mount Isa," Sopoaga said.
"It will be a great opportunity to meet new people and just have a bit of fun."
Sopoaga said they had received a lot of interest and teams had almost been finalised.
"It's going be a very busy year ahead for MIBA with the basketball summer season starting on February 25."
Team registration is $80. It will cost $40 per team per game with 10 players on each side.
There must be a minimum of two females out of the six players on court.
