Wild Sparks was established in 2019, by rural blogger Danielle Doyle (Miss Chardy) and her friend Edwina, who wanted to connect rural, regional and remote women with inspirational guest speakers, panel discussions and pop-up shops.
Ms Doyle said this was the second event that had been held in Mount Isa, with this year's focus on local businesses and lady start-ups.
"The event will include discussions about starting out with your new business or idea, resilience, stories from ladies who have done it, taking your idea and turning it into reality, and a panel Q&A from the audience," Ms Doyle said.
"We are still locking in our speakers but our keynote speaker is McKinlay Shire Council mayor Belinda Murphy. She will speak about her life and what she has done for Julia Creek, also starting her own small business and how to juggle it all, resilience, leadership, family and more."
Ms Doyle said they created the event to provide a platform of information to rural women, that was only available in the city.
"I had been wanting to hold a conference in Mount Isa for around five years. You see usually we have to jump on a plane and head to a major city to attend such an event and I wanted to bring that to the women up here. It is so costly to fly out of Mount Isa and go away to attend these conferences.
"Last year we finally made it happen, bringing the remote ladies together and connecting them with like minded women in town. Often we live in such isolation so events like this are so important to bring women together and help them realise their dreams."
Ms Doyle said more than 100 women attended last year's event and they hope to grow that this year.
"Last year, most women travelling in from remote stations up to eight hours drive away," she said.
"We were just so thrilled and the ladies loved it - the chance to get out and mix with like minded ladies, forge new friendships, network and have a day to themselves for personal development.
"This year we really want to draw as many local Mount Isa ladies as we can."
The event will be held on March 13 from 9am to 5pm at the Mount Isa Civic Centre. Tickets are $159 and can be purchased from www.misschardy.com. Ticket includes entry to the event, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and access to pop-up shops.
Wild Sparks will be supporting the Bushfires with a percentage of all tickets sales going to an organisation (yet to be decided).
The Red Earth and Isa Hotel are on board as Accommodation Partner and are offering a special price for Wild Spark delegates: The Isa Hotel $139 and The Red Earth Hotel $169 - just mention Wild Spark.
