Owners Kylie and Richard Harvey held an open day on the weekend with special guest and Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Emily Whitehead and a 100 people through the door.
North West Gymnastics have been in the Flower St gym since 2016 but these latest works in the last six months will take it to the next level.
Kylie Harvey said the intention was to develop it to a standard to enable the club host regional competitions.
"Our 15 by eight metre hall we had previous had gotten too small for all the kids,we also have juniors up to level seven that need a full competition floor," Ms Harvey said.
"That was the main driver but we've also got a full 20m vault run and a 17 x 14 metre floor and it means we can run concurrent classes so families can bring all their children at the same time."
Ms Harvey said they were able to offer birthday parties, and an additional 10 classes.
"I would love to be able to offer more classes but I need more amazing coaches," she said.
Kylie said North West Gymnastics often has to travel 2000km for competition and now their athletes will be familiar with the size of floor they are competing on so they will no longer have to change steps or patterns.
"This will make us very competitive and we have been in the last 12 months with girls placing in competitions," she said.
She also said having Emily Whitehead for the opening was a privilege.
"We have been trying to get her up here for over 12 months," she said.
"Richard and I wanted to support Oceanic Gymnastics and Emily put up one of her Australian leotards for auction and we had the winning bid and that was the start of our relationship."
