The forecast in the region is for partly cloudy weather with showers and the chance of a thunderstorm with possible heavy falls.
It's more good for the region which has seen a good soaking in most places.
Mount Isa got its heaviest rain on Saturday and Sunday with 83mms falling in 24 hours, quickly filling up the Leichhardt River and closing off the New Isa St Bridge as well as all the causeways.
The rain was good news for local lakes which added 25% to their volume. As of Monday, Lake Moondarra was 71.9% full and Lake Julius was 92.1%.
Cloncurry had 30.6mm on Sunday while Camooweal had 140mm.
Winton had over 110m on Monday night while good rain was also falling in the Gulf with Normanton recording over 140mm on Monday night.
Richmond recorded 63.4mm on Saturday.
Flash flooding at Prairie had closed the Flinders Hwy east of Hughenden.
