A crime scene investigation has been going since Tuesday night when police were called to a home on Erap St, Soldiers Hill.
Detective Acting Sergeant Kelsey Barker said Mount Isa police were called to attend the scene after an attempted robbery on Erap St.
"The suspects entered the home and attempted to get money off the victims," Detective Acting Sergeant Barker said.
"There is currently a crime scene on the premises which is being investigated by police to find further evidence."
A local resident on Erap St said he heard a huge amount of noise around 9.30pm followed by a car reversing out of the driveway at full speed.
"People arrived at the house and caused a nasty disturbance, then left in a small car and skidded out the driveway," the resident told the North West Star
"Police have been at the home ever since. It doesn't feel nice having this sort of stuff going on so close to your home."
