A showdown between Horn and Tszyu, who is undefeated across 15 professional fights, shapes as the most eagerly-anticipated bout of the year in Australia.

Horn's previous fight, in December, was nothing short of epic.

The Queenslander's camp was close to throwing the towel in during the ninth round when the referee called for a break so a cut above Horn's eye could be examined, but the bloodied and battered mess rallied in a majority-points win over Zerafa.

Horn has resumed training but negotiations regarding his battle with Tszyu have stalled over two sticking points.

Tszyu wants 12 rounds and no rematch clause, while Horn had been pushing for a 10-round fight and a rematch clause.

"He can pay me more to do 12 if he wants," Horn told reporters in Sydney.

"We can do the 70-30 split.

"I think there will be a breakthrough. I'm willing to do more rounds if he wants to make the split more, so he can have his way.

"If they don't want to do a rematch, I'm happy not doing a rematch."

Horn was less obliging when asked about Zerafa, who knocked him out in Bendigo last August.

The 31-year-old suggested there was no set of circumstances that would prompt him to contemplate a third bout with the Victorian.

"I can't really think of anything ... I've got no interest in fighting Zerafa again," Horn said.

"I had to rematch him, actually train properly for the second one and get that win on the board.

"It would be a struggle for me to listen to him for another few weeks."

Horn was stunned to hear murmurings that Zerafa's next opponent could be retired Anthony Mundine.

"It's a little bit ridiculous that they might be having a fight. Zerafa called me out so many times about fighting has-beens and things like that," the 2012 London Olympian said.

"Then the first chance he's got is with Mundine, trying to make a fight with him. Go figure."

Horn remained hopeful his next bout could be staged in April but was coy about a venue, also refusing to engage in trash talk after Tszyu's accusations of greed and whingeing.

"Tim is still a nice guy but he's making some points. He's getting frustrated and I completely understand that, but in boxing it's business as well," he said.
