Scattered thunderstorms are predicted up until Sunday then it is expected that the storms should clear.
Those who are interested in finding new sports The Sign-on Expo for sporting and community groups returns this Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the Buchanan Park Entertainment Centre.
The rugby union is back for the first time this year and should remain on unless there are floods.
Top of the table Keas take on fourth placed Warrigals from 6pm at the Rugby Union grounds.
The Warrigals will not be fazed by their position on the ladder given their recent end of season form.
The second match is between fierce rivals Cloncurry and Euros at 8pm.
The Euros are seeking redemption this year after experiencing a few un-noteworthy forfeits which has been surprising for such a strong club.
Round five of the Mount Isa cricket competition is also scheduled for Saturday, weather permitting.
The Western Bulls play Black Stars at Sunset Oval 10am.
The Bulls will be hoping they can fill a full strength side against the strong Black Stars.
The second game is between Panthers and Cavaliers at Captain Cook Oval 10am.
The Panthers are desperate to get their season back on track and will be throwing everything they have at the Cavaliers.
