Ultimately, the KAP aims to force a full repeal of changes made by Labor to the Vegetation Management Act but in the meantime we are focusing on just these amendments to enable farmers to undertake greater Mulga harvesting for the purposes of feeding stock.

The changes are aimed at restoring some common sense to the current scheme, by allowing graziers in the Mulga lands the ability to utilise their own food resources in times of drought.

The passing of these amendments would be a lifeline for these Queenslanders, and to get them over the line we desperately need community support.

Labor are likely to oppose the amendments and despite the fact that it was the Federal LNP that

invoked the introduction of tree-clearing laws in the first place, there is a still good chance the Queensland LNP will support them.

We are appealing to anyone that cares about this issue to lobby their local State Member, Labor, LNP or otherwise, to get their support.

The first part of our bill addresses shortfalls in the largely positive LNP amendments passed during the time of the LNP Newman Government.

Unfortunately, some key elements were missed such as the exclusion of grazing on High Value Agricultural (HVA) land and also the requirement for the government to state reasons for any rejection of clearing applications.

At present the State Government has no obligation to report back to applicants as to why they have knocked back their applications - this is not good enough.

Our new Mulga amendments basically allow broad access to this valuable source of fodder in drought-declared areas only for the period of the drought.

The State Government will undoubtedly scaremonger over this saying it will allow for over-reach in the practice but, the reality is, no producer would "put a match to their hay shed".

Instead they will ration the Mulga - a coppicing fodder source - as has always historically been the case.

Furthermore, we strongly believe that the current restrictions likely result in more fodder harvesting than is necessary.

Under the current laws producers are often forced to harvest spelled areas that may have limited water access and less rain, as opposed to a smaller area of the property that has had rain and would require less area to feed the same stock numbers.

It's really, really good news that the Morrison Government will legislate to make pensioners declare every single cent that they earn, so they can be taxed to the hilt. No more of this estimating nonsense -- nobody should ever get any public money which he or she is not entitled to.

So of course the next step is to go after Tony Abbott. Section 44(i) of the Constitution bans not only foreign citizens but also anyone with the rights and privileges of foreign citizenship. And that's Abbott -- he has patriality, which gives him all the rights and privileges of citizenship in foreign country called Britain.
