The triathlon race season will officially begin this weekend for both junior and senior athletes and the IsaRats club are excited to burn some energy.

The first race hosted by the IsaRats is the Mount Isa City Council All Schools Triathlon, which is this Saturday February 8 at the touch fields.
IsaRats president Kim Alcorn said she was looking forward to kicking off the year.
"This is our first weekend of races then there will be an event every fortnight," Ms Alcorn said.
Ms Alcorn said Saturday's triathlon was for teams of two or three and ages five to 14.
"There are some great prizes for the winners," Ms Alcorn said.
"Registration is from 7am at the touch grounds and the pool."
Ms Alcorn said the following day is the seniors turn to compete.
"The Mount Isa Mines Corporate Triathlon will being from Lake Moondarra with registration starting at 6:30am."
The adults tri has a 750m swim, 20km bike ride and a five km run.
