At Sunset Oval the Black Stars won the toss and elected to bat against the Cavaliers.
With the new rain and the grass mowed ready for hay bailing, Shane McCarthy drew first blood. Taking the wicket of Nadeash for just 10 due to his own captain triggering him for a LBW.
The Cavaliers looked very controlling early in the match until number three batsmen Alex Batemen (62) and opener Trent Cameron (58) settled the ship.
With the Black Stars run rate a little low it was up to some late order hitting with fine knocks from Cameron Conlon (41), Scott Kyle (30) and Sampath (17).
Leaving the the Stars with a total of 8/264.
The Stars would have had more if not for Cavaliers bowler Ryan taking a handy 3-8 from just two overs at the end of the innings.
The Cavaliers made their intention clear from the start with Sam Peters teeing off early with some big boundaries but was unable to follow through falling for 21.
Only Cavaliers batsman Jason Wellington would make a respectable score of 20 with wickets tumbling consistently.
Jamie Stewart bowled a deadly spell of 3-26 off six overs and Barthab 3-12 off just three to bowl the Cavaliers out for a woeful total of 76 losing by a mammoth 198 runs.

In the other match the Bulls went down to the Panthers in a much more tight contest.
Winning the toss and batting the Panthers lost both openers Dom Clark (4) and Nick Donker (10) cheaply off the back of some tidy bowling early on from Faisal Khan 3-32 off eight and Hussien 3-36 off eight.
Aidan Green (61), Alex Brown (21) and Ben Ryan (30) steadied the ship to finish with a par score of 174.
The Bulls started off well and found themselves on 2-66 off 15.
But then debutante Zappa (3-27 off six) removed the dangerous Wes Hall for 33 and their run chase began to crumble.
The Panthers fielded well and bowlers Aidan Green (3-32 off seven) and Sid (2-20 off 6) made sure the Bulls were bowled out for 133, losing by 41 runs.
Panthers batsman Nick Donker said it felt good to get the win against his old team mates.
"It was great to win against the Bulls even though I didn't score many which is rare, I'm disappointed I had to leave before the game ended for my friends baby shower," Donker said.
