After nine years playing, managing and coaching rugby union for the Cloncurry team, Chrisp is hanging up his boots and returning to his home-country, New Zealand.
Chrisp said he couldn't be more proud of his time playing for Cloncurry, enjoying every moment.
"It has been an amazing time playing for Cloncurry," he said.
"Especially getting out of Mount Isa, playing home games in the 'Curry and get involved in other communities.
"Playing alongside the boys over the years, they have all been larrikins and a lot of fun. It has been a similar background to what I am use to at home, full of small town fellas and farm boys.
"One of my highlights from playing rugby out here would be the representative trip to the Whitsundays in 2014, it was an awesome tournament and from there I got selected for the North Queensland team."
Playing 10 seasons of rugby for Cloncurry, Chrisp said he was not sure why they hadn't won a grand final.
"We've made it to the grand final once in my time here, maybe it's a good thing I'm leaving," he joked.
"I have held the roles of manager, coach, captain, player and (after last weekend), flagman."
Chrisp wasn't too sure who would fill his shoes but he said Cloncurry had some handy players.
"The Cloncurry team are getting a good influx of players and new faces who are boosting the club," he said.
"It's been a good game, a good sport and we've had some good times at the club and I encourage people to get involved and keep the sport going."
Chrisp said when he first came to Australia he didn't know what to expect
"I did one year in Western Australia and then I moved out here to Mount Isa with my older brother, not really sure what to expect," he said.
"What intentionally was meant to be a year or two in Mount Isa turned into nine pretty quickly.
"It's a good town, there is a lot of like minded people and everyone makes their own fun."
