So much so that the pair of martial artists will travel over to Cebu City, Philippines in June to compete at the stick fighting World WEKAF Championships in the country where the art originated.
The pair practice their trade at Sikaran Martial Arts where they hope to follow in the foot steps of previous graduates.
Sixteen-year-old stick fighter Patrick Roche said they were preparing well.
"We train every single day, whether it be stick fighting, karate or here in the Three Sons fitness gym," Patrick said.
Twelve-year-old Thomas Roche said he enjoyed how the martial art was so different compared to other mixed combats.
"I like how different it is from other fighting, there are some pretty unique rules as well which make it interesting," Thomas said.
The World WEKAF Championships brings qualifying champion Filipino Martial Arts practitioners from around the world to participate in events for the 2020 WEKAF World Championship.
