The Bulls and Panthers both went home with wins but more importantly vital points as the rankings on the ladder determine the make up of the finals.
In the opening game the Bulls proved once again to have the wood over the Black Stars with a fabulous run chase led by Narren (64), Pat (62) and Morrisby (37*).
Batting first the Black Stars lost Scott Kyle early to a Faisal jaffa trapping him in front LBW for 1.
This brought Nadesh (62) to the crease and he soon re-found his early season form batting along side Cullis (29) to build a nice platform with score on 2-73 off 12.
But it would be Bulls bowling that caused the damage with Morrisby taking 3-33 off his eight and tight lines from Jagi 2-24 off eight.
Black Stars finishing on 9-211.
The Stars then removed Wes Hall in the first over for a quaker.
But the Bulls batsman digged in and wickets were hard to come by.
Narren (64) Pat (62) and Morrisby (37*) batted well to ensure they reached the total with six wickets still in the shed and six overs to spare.
In the other match the Panthers won the toss and self inserted.
After 9 overs they were 0-55 and batting smart until a few wickets began to fall.
Dom Clarke came and went for a quick fire 36, which then saw Aidan Green (1) snick off early to some handy bowling from Sam Peters 2-11 off five.
Panthers skipper Ben Ryan then led the way with a captains knock of 53 which included surviving some fast bowling from Cody Tully 1-12 off seven and handy spin bowling from young Moro 4-15 off five.
The Panthers finished all out for 172.
Knowing they needed a strong start the Panthers came out roaring and went into drinks with the score at 5-50.
This was due to tight bowling from Lachie Sharp 3-30 off eight, Sidha 2-33 off five and Ben Ryan 2-13 off five.
Just when the Panthers thought the game was over at 9-90 the Cavs then fought back searching for a miracle come back with number 11 batsman Breen on 31 not out.
The last wicket stand would end on 46 and see the Cavs just 36 runs short of their miracle.
Panthers skipper Ben Ryan said it was good to bounce back after his performance last week.
"Last game I bowled about 15 wides, scored one run and dropped a sitter that cost us over 100 runs and definitely lost us the game so it feels good to perform this week but more importantly get the win," Ryan said.
