Renee retired from professional rugby league in 2017 after captaining and playing for the Queensland Maroons since 2007.
In 2018, she became a NRL Community Program Deliverer where she continues to engage with local communities and the grass roots game around the country and now here in Mount Isa.
"I love that I am able to play a role in our young people's lives to offer support when needed and encourage our young generation, especially females the importance and benefits of playing sport," Renae said.
Representative coordinator Nigel Tremain said it was huge to get Renae on board.
"Having the experience and knowledge of former Queensland origin and Australian international player Renae Kunst is a real credit to the commitment and development of our playing group," Nigel said.
The first carnival is held in Innisfail from May 15 to 17 with possible selection for players into North Queensland Country sides.
The second carnival is held in Cloncurry from May 28 to 29 for further selection into outback sides.
