Mount Isa City Council says roadworks on Abel Smith Parade, between Hercules Road and Darling Crescent (eastern intersection), are expected to begin on Monday, March 2.

Council said the work should take about three weeks to complete and will include the construction of partial concrete infill stamped with a pattern, broken by areas filled with decorated areas, which will include low vegetation and/or decorative stone.
"Traffic delays will be kept to a minimum and works will be mindful of school-based traffic in the area - however, motorists are asked to be mindful of the works and take care when in the area," Council said.
