Five teams have entered the carnival with all players chasing the $1000 prize money for first and $500 for runner up.
All of the games will be played at Eddie Lee Field and the first match will kick off at 3pm and the final around 8pm on Saturday March 7.
Each game will have seven minute halves with ten players allowed on the field for both sides.
There will also be an inaugural Curry Pie eating contest for the all rounder athletes who can eat as fast as they can run.
Drinks after the tournament will then be held at the Post Office Hotel.
Rugby tens player Rhygan Werret said it's going to be a ripping day.
"The Cloncurry weather is looking favourable so it's shaping up to be a great day for rugby," Rhygan said.
"The tens format favours a fast flowing, backs dominated style of rugby but forwards are always needed to create opportunities through the middle.
"Each side will play five forwards to create a five man scrum and five backs."
