A severe thunderstorm warning was issued on Wednesday morning predicting heavy rain and strong winds.
The storms again came from the north, heading south east and delivered 30mm in Mount Isa.
Mount Isa recorded one of the smaller rain totals with Birdsville recording the most with 58mm.
Other totals included May Downs 48.4, Carters Bore (south of Isa) 38.8, Lake Julius 56.6, Cloncurry 47.2, Camooweal 17, Julia Creek 1.4mm, Richmond 7mm, Hughenden 2mm, Winton 11.8mm and Urandangi 26.8.
There is still a chance of more rain this morning (March 5) however it is likely to decrease throughout the morning and the rest of the week.
Today has a 70 per cent chance of showers and a possible storm, with the chance of a shower in the afternoon. It is predicted to reach a top of 30 degrees.
On Friday there is only a 10 per cent chance of rain and a top temperature of 32.
On Saturday and Sunday there is currently no chance of rain and it is predicted to reach a maximum temperature of 33.
Early next week there is a slight chance of rain with 10 per cent chance on Monday and 20 per cent chance on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On March 4 Lake Julius was at 99.9 per cent and Lake Moondarra was at 87.4 per cent, but is predicted to be more following last nights rain.
