The ASMY night will take place on Saturday March 28 at the Buffs club from 8pm.

Event organiser Jenifer French said she expects over 500 people to turn up.

"ASMY operates for many different reasons but the main reason I run these events every year is for the amazing women that sign up to enter," Ms French said.

"These women are mothers, full time workers, sole bread winners all of the above and they put so much time an effort into living their lives with a difficult balance of life and health.

"Female empowerment in these competitions is huge as not only are these women empowering their own selves and journeys but they also empower each other and there is no nastiness or cattiness.

Ms French said they girls assist each other from start to finish.

"There are several girls in this years line up that have been in the crowd the last four years and have slowly built up the courage to enter and that's why I do this every year," Ms French said.

"The winner receives $500 cash, flights and accommodation to nationals on the Gold Coast as well as three fully loaded days of water activities like fast boats and V8 rides and also to be the feature of our charity calendar and of course bragging rights.

Ms French said the girls go onstage about 8.30 and there are three rounds of catwalk.

"The first is formal, then theme which is Rio and then Bikini round," Ms French said.

"In between the first and second round we will be having a crowd 'walk off' where a few audience members will be selected to come onstage and try to replicate the best bikini model walk and we will give one male and female winner $100 bar card."

Tickets are $10 pre-sale and $15 on the night with doors opening at 8pm.
