Throughout the years, Cr Ferris has seen many changes throughout Council and the town, but it is her current profile of Beautification and Libraries that she is most proud of.
"The beautification of the city looks great, I've had people telling me how lovely it looks especially after the rain," Cr Ferris said.
"Our teams are doing a great job of keeping up the maintenance of gardens and parks around the city especially after recent rain."
Cr Ferris said there were a number of projects under her profile that had come to fruition this term.
"It is nice to drive along and see things other then tar, cement and trees; its nice to see more plans and greenery. Camooweal Street is one of the main streets in town and is the main route to Sunset so I think the works all look beautiful."
Cr Ferris said she was excited by the thought of another term with council, as she had a number of projects on the horizon.
"We have a master plan ready for the cemetery. Locals will begin to see the entrance of the cemetery start to be upgraded and the rest of the cemetery will follow," she said.
"We also have a plan for Gallipoli Park but are just awaiting grants.
"We are the oasis in the desert out here, so I want to see us continue with the upgrades of the parks and more areas for youth."
Cr Ferris said the highlight of her profile was the skate park.
"I was the person who instigated getting the skate park. I fought tooth and nail against other members of council at the time, but it wasn't that they didn't want to see it go ahead but frightened of the litigation effects.
"However it was build and it has been very good and the locals have realised it is a good asset for the youth of Mount Isa.
"When the kids see me they are always asking for new things. I think it is wonderful because they are getting involved in the community.
"Myself, I would personally like to see another skate park in town in a new position in the city, so that is something I will work towards."
Cr Ferris believes the current Council has worked well together, despite criticism of parks not receiving enough water and maintenance.
"We have to take a sensible approach, we only have so much water and we don't want to be wasting it. In the drought times we try to keep up the parks as well as we could," she said.
"Mount Isa has a lot of parks and we do have to prioritise water upkeep to the ones used the most, we still maintain the others as well."
Cr Ferris said she had enjoyed her time working with the current Council and looks forward to another potential term.
"I am looking forward to it. I think with this team it is really great and we are going forward on a lot of projects. With our portfolios crossing over each others, we all work well together," she said.
"I have enjoyed my many years in Council and I would like to keep going. It is so pleasing to know you're helping to make a difference in your community."
