The Mount Isa Cricket Association had to abandon its season with only the grand final to play between minor premiers Black Stars and,defending premiers Panthers, which was due to take place on Saturday.
Instead they abandoned the game and declared minor premiers Black Stars the 2020 40 over champions.
The Mount Isa Cricket Association executive committee said they backed the advice from Queensland Cricket. "We have taken the decision to back Queensland Cricket and Cricket Australia's advice to cancel all remaining 2019/20 season fixtures for both Juniors and Seniors effective immediately," they said.
Also in its final series, Mount Isa Rugby Union is now suspended until May.
Rugby Australia's directive covers rugby matches, training and face-to-face education courses.
"The four local club committees (Keas, Warrigals, Cloncurry and Euros) have voted on majority to continue the semi and finals in May rather than end on the ladder scores," Mount Isa Rugby Union president Kurt McGregor said.

The Mount Isa Rugby League Association has suspended play until May after playing just one round.
"We have now had official confirmation from QRL instructing that community rugby league games and training will we suspended until first weekend of May. This means all juniors, senior and carnivals."
The Julia Creek Dirt N Dust triathlon festival due the weekend April 17-19 has also been cancelled leaving organisers scrambling to arrange refunds to the hundreds of competitors who were due in town next month.
Racing Queensland has allowed its meetings to continue without patrons such as Cloncurry this weekend though smaller meetings like Maxwelton on April 4 have cancelled.
It's the third cancellation in four years for Maxi after a bumpy track (2017) and post-flooding (2019) also wrote off the races.
Mount Isa netball will be suspended as recommended until April 20. This includes all games and training effective immediately.
Soccer has also been cancelled effective immediately across Queensland, including all training and associated football related activities, as well as all referee and coach education courses.
The North West Canoe Club has not yet cancelled the Gregory Canoe Classic for the first weekend in May, but must be thrown in doubt after Burke Shire Council introduced tough restrictions on visitors entering the shire.
Camprafting events nationwide have been cancelled until May, due to the Federal Government COVID-19 event restrictions. This decision was handed down by the National Campdraft Council of Australia and cancellations include the ACA National Finals that were to be held in Nebo in April.
Mount Isa Athletics Club has cancelled all athletics events until May 31 on advice from Queensland Athletics and Athletics North Queensland. This includes sign on days on April 4 and 18 and club days from May 2.
Parkrun has indefinitely suspended all its worldwide events including in Mount Isa and Cloncurry.
