1. Watch sport documentaries.
It's time to catch up on your sporting history, or learn more about your sporting icons. Some sport documentaries out there now are that good they are almost better than the real thing. If you have Fox Sports, Kayo there are some classics, there are also loads on YouTube.
2. Read autobiographies.
Now has never been the perfect time to read your sporting hero's autobiography. Autobiographies usually tell all and give an incredible amount of insight into their personal life. There's a good chance you will find out some interesting stories and have a bank load of yarns ready for when the pubs re-open.
3. Watch classic matches.
Remember that game that gave your entire body goosebumps? or almost reduced you to tears? with no live sport its time to revisit some of those games we will never forget and relive those moments. It's also a good chance to view how much your beloved sport has changed over time, whether that be from the rules, players, techniques to even the advertising. You can find these on Fox Sports or YouTube.
4. Play video games.
One place where COVID-19 can't spread is in the virtual world. If you crave that competitive edge you can play anyone online in the sport of your choice. Playing against someone who is also in self isolation will be a world first so why not try it out.
5. Play golf.
If you can still play an individual sport than don't hesitate. Golf Australia acting chief executive Rob Armour said the mental health benefits of the golf were an inspiration to keep courses open and GA is publishing daily updates for clubs on its website.
"Golf is a fantastic way for Australians to get out and exercise and keep their minds active during a tough time for this country and the game can be played within the regulations the government has implemented to curb the virus." he said.
6. Do yoga.
This is a perfect option as do it yourself yoga videos have already been online on YouTube for a long time and have really improved over time. They are super easy to follow and will help you with your breathing and be able to get rid of built up stress. It should also help you sleep as it lowers your heart rate and you become more in tune with your body.
7. Go for a walk.
With all the gyms shut down it is incredibly important that you still look after your body and mind. Going for a walk by yourself is still allowed so getting some fresh air and allowing your thoughts to roam free in these confusing times will only benefit the soul.
8. Do a home work out.
Even if you don't have all the equipment there are still loads of exercises you can do in the comfort of your own home. If you use your imagination you can still achieve a good burn on your muscles from push ups, sit ups, chair dips, chin ups, star jumps, burpees, planks just to name a few.
