Progress Mount Isa team leader, Joyce McCulloch was voted out of office by Mount Isa residents and replaced by Danielle Slade.
Ms McCulloch took to the Progress Mount Isa team Facebook Page to make her final address and share her gratitude for the last term.
"I am incredibly proud of the achievements of our Progress Mount Isa Team over our term, and it has been my absolute honour to lead this group of dedicated, inspirational professionals," she said.
"To the members of our team who will continue to serve the region - Phil Barwick, Mick Tully, Paul Stretton, Peta MacRae and George Fortune - congratulations to you. You have my undivided support and I know you will continue to fight for progress in our region. It is incredibly unfortunate for Mount Isa that the new council does not include Jean Ferris."
Ms McCulloch also congratulated the new members of Mount Isa City Council.
"To the incoming members of the new council team - Danielle Slade and Kim Coghlan - congratulations and I wish you each every success," she said.
"Our community needs this new team to quickly overcome any divisiveness and to rapidly unite. At a time like this, differences need to be put aside, so that we have an elected council that is able to work for the good of our community during these difficult times."
Ms McCulloch said she wished there was a different result in the election.
"My only regret is that I no longer have the opportunity to serve Mount Isa in this capacity, and to continue with our achievements and plans," she said.
"I would also like to recognize and thank the Mount Isa City Council employees led by CEO Sharon Ibardolaza for their service and great work they do for our Communities, Mount Isa and Camooweal.
"My sincere gratitude goes to each and every person in this community who supported us over the past four years, and who stood up and voted for us in this election. In particular, those who actively assisted us through the ever-changing face of our campaign. Thank you for your actions, your kind words, and your support."
