On Tuesday, April 14, a youth has allegedly approached a police vehicle and punched the window multiple times.
It is further alleged that when police got out of the vehicle the youth has then punched a police officer in the chest.
The 14-year-old boy from Mount Isa will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act 1992.
Public nuisance, Mount Isa
On Monday, April 13, a man allegedly raised his middle finger at police officers who were driving on Camooweal Street, Mount Isa.
It is further alleged the man then called the police a rude name and when police have pulled up to talk to him, he was continued swearing.
The 34-year-old Mount Isa man was dealt with by way of infringement notice.
Public nuisance, Mornington Island
On Monday, April 13, multiple people allegedly engaged in a street fight on Wardirrkin Street, Mornington Island.
It is alleged that two men and two women have been verbally fighting which has then turned into a physical fight.
All persons involved ranged in age from 17-years-old to 47-years-old and were all dealt with by way of infringement notices.
Driving and drug offences, Mount Isa
On Monday, April 13, police have intercepted a vehicle after observing the manner of driving.
It is further alleged the vehicle did a burn out before speeding off.
Police were made aware that the vehicle then crashed on Brett Street, Mount Isa and was moved to a yard.
Police attended the residence where the vehicle was located and upon making enquiries about the driving offence, have allegedly located several drug items including plants, cannabis and utensils.
A 25-year-old Mount Isa woman was charged with wilfully make unnecessary noise or smoke, offence of driving whilst relevant drug present in blood, producing a dangerous drug, possessing dangerous drug, possess utensils and possess relevant substances.
A second 25-year-old Mount Isa woman was charged with possess utensils.
Both women are due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on June 29.
Driving and drug offences, Mount Isa
On Thursday, April 9, police intercepted a vehicle on Abel Smith Parade, Mount Isa.
It is alleged that the driver of the vehicle was unlicenced and effected by drugs at the time.
The 33-year-old female driver of the vehicle was charged with driving of a motor vehicle without a driver licence, offence of driving whilst relevant drug present in blood, possessing dangerous drug, possess utensils and supple dangerous drugs.
Noise Abatement Directions
Across the Easter long weekend, police issued nine noise abatement directions to residences within the district.
