Mayor Jane McNamara was re-elected and she was joined on council by councillors Kelly Carter, Kim (Clancy) Middleton, Clarence Haydon, Nicole Flute, Arthur (Bill) Bode and Trevor Mitchell.
Cr Middleton was elected deputy mayor.
Due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions were in place and the Council videoed the entire meeting.
Chief Executive Officer Daryl Buckingham presented his report saying they had received a letter from Deputy Prime Minister Mark McCormack in response to his contact of the DPM's office on behalf of Flinders, Barcaldine and Longreach shires seeking funding for the completion of the Torrens Creek to Aramac road.
In December the three Shire Mayors wrote a joint letter to the Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Mark Bailey seeking support for a proposed Joint Project Agreement for the completion of the sealing of the road.
Mr Buckingham had also received a letter from the Department of Environment and Science advising Council that all the submissions on the Lake Eyre Basin had been considered but due to COVID-19 they had suspended further consultation.
The council also awarded a $210,000 tender for the construction of the Alderley Crossing Bridge 38km north west of Hughenden.
