A touching locally-produced video is asking people to stop for a minute and remember victims of domestic violence.

The video produced by Health Families Yarn goes for six minutes and features local landmarks and identities including new mayor Danielle Slade lending their support to the cause.
Entitled "Be the light" the video is a virtual video for May, prevention of domestic violence month and is presented by the Mount Isa Domestic Violence Action Group.
It is part of the Health Families yarn initiative that yesterday yarnbombed the tree outside Mount Isa police station ahead of the virtual vigil.
Minister for Child Safety, Youth and Women Di Farmer opened the video by lighting a candle in her office while Cr Slade also held a candle in honour of the survivors, the victims and family members.
Director-General of the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women Deidre Mulkerin said she was lighting a candle to acknowledge survivors and victims of domestic and family violence.
"I stand with victims and I stand for everyone's right to feel safe at home and at work," Ms Mulkerin said.
"Violence no matter where it is in our community is unacceptable."
