With the season in hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Mount Isa Rugby League said it is seeking the help of players to complete a survey QRL Northern Region are currently conducting.
The QRL Northern Region is wanting to gather information from senior players in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Mid West, Mount Isa, Cape York, Torres Strait and the Gulf to determine if and when restrictions are lifted if players would still be interested to participate in a reduced season structure.
Options being canvassed are 13-a-side, 10-a-side and nine-a-side and whether they would play even if no crowds were allowed.
After playing just one round in 2020, the Mount Isa Rugby League was suspended in March until May.
A go ahead has been given for NRL but not yet for community league in Queensland.
The survey is here.
