That's a terrific achievement and while it helps we are fairly remote with flights reduced to the coast and roads almost empty due to restrictions, it still shows we are doing the right thing when it comes to social distancing and good hygiene.
Understandably now people are starting to think about what happens next and how we can gradually re-open our society,
Equally understandably, our leaders are extremely cautious about this, worried about the prospect of a second flare-up and the devastating possibility of a return to more serious restrictions.
In the meantime there is still plenty going on across the region and see below a sample of some of the stories of the last few days.
