Mount Isa has a strong possibility of seeing some rain before the end of the week.
A surface trough through the interior is expected to deepen towards the middle of the week, and progress eastward over the following few days.
While Monday's conditions in Mount Isa are for sunny weather and 29 degrees, there is a 10% chance of rain Tuesday and a 5% chance on Wednesday.
On Thursday that chance rises to 30% when the maximum temperature dips to 23 while Friday is the best chance of all with a 40% likelihood of up to 15 mms falling and a max of just 21 degrees.
There is also a 10-20% chance of rain falling on the weekend with temperatures also barely getting into the 20s.
The cooler weather will even affect the Gulf with Normanton expecting a top of 20 on Saturday with a 60% chance of rain.
