Mr Georgiadis, commonly known as just "Costa" has been the host of ABC's long-running Gardening Australia program since 2011
He introduced himself to McKinlay Shire residents with a hello message video saying he hoped to get up to the shire at some point.
Costa has encouraged residents to ask questions and to give details of what they are working with in regards sustainable gardens and garden design.
Costa rattled off the names of McKinlay's towns, Julia Creek, McKinlay and Nelia though momentarily stumbled over Kynuna, before getting into his typical stride.
"What I wanted to get out of this little introduction video, was to just say to you, look, I'm here," Costa said.
Costa showed his own garden in inner suburban Bondi in Sydney with his composting and worm farm.
"This is an urban setting and where you are up there is very different," he said.
"I've been doing some research and talking to people so we can establish a real value add to this whole process."
Costa said he would cover topics like sustainable gardens, composting, growing your own fertiliser and garden design.
"Next steps include practical set-out and staging and then planning of the garden," he said.
"I need to get a feel for what your challenges are".
