While no date has been set yet for the resumption of leagues, as of midday QRL said groups of up to 20 participants per venue at one time can begin training under certain conditions under the principle of ' get in, train, get out'.
Training will only be available to participants who do not have cold or flu symptoms or don't live with has these symptoms
QRL said these sessions are for skill training using equipment including kicking, passing and catching, no tackling/wrestling and only at at club facilities or other club-approved venues
Each club must have a plan that complies with the QRL Return to Play Handbook and speak to all club members advising them of the club's return to play protocols and the expectations of them attending the venue prior to the resumption of activity
The Handbook was approved across QRL regions and with the advice of the QRL chief medical officer on May 29.
The QRL is among sporting codes that have submitted a sport and recreation industry COVID Safe Plan to the Queensland chief health officer's office, which is expected to be responded to by Thursday, June 4.
If approved this could see numbers increased to allow more participants to train at each venue.
