The Mount Isa-born great will join fellow Brisbane Lions champion Jonathan Black in the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
Both were announced in a ceremony aired on Fox Footy on Tuesday night.
The 41-year-old Black had been confirmed as an inductee last year, but was unable to attend the 2019 ceremony due to being apart of filming for Australian Survivor.
He retired late in 2013 playing for just the one club winning three premierships in 2001, 2002 and 2003, the Brownlow Medal in 2002, and the Norm Smith Medal for best on ground in the 2003 grand final.
Born in Mount Isa, he relocated to Western Australia with his family at a very young age.
H excelled in running and footy at school and joined East Fremantle Football Club and represented Western Australia in the 1997 AFL Under 18 Championships.
Black was drafted by the Brisbane Lions in 1997 just in time for their glory years.
Along with Michael Voss, Jason Akermanis and Nigel Lappin, the Lions' midfield of that period became known as the 'Fab Four'.
He was the star attraction at a Mount Isa AFL open day in 2013, returning for the first time after three decades.
