She said she would be celebrating her birthday at home with husband Arthur and they might go out for lunch later.
Ms Morris has been a mainstay in many local organisations and helped found Mount Isa Meals on Wheels when she began cooking from her own kitchen in 1980 and named Meals on Wheels 'Mary Lowe Living Legend 2014'
"I was at a church meeting with some other ladies and the minister was talking and he said someone needed people to take the meals around and we talked about it and started it," she said.
"I'm still volunteering at Meals and Wheels every Tuesday."
She was also the president of the Mount Isa Pensioners Association and a committee member of the Queensland Countrywomen's Association.
Her friend Kim-Maree Burton paid tribute to Anne as a true lady who not only understands what community service means but has encapsulated that meaning in her community work to build a better life for the people of Mount Isa.
"A quiet achiever who on arrival in Mount Isa said, a town is what you make it," Ms Burton said.
