The North West Hospital and Health have clarified the rules of who can visit hospitals and when.
"We've noticed that our visitors and patients are having some trouble with the current visitor directions especially around not having children being able to attend," a NWHHS spokesperson told the North West Star.
"While they may be proving difficult to navigate, please remember the current Queensland Government Hospital Visitor Directions."
Restrictions have been in place since the start of the pandemic, and while these directions are likely to change soon when Queensland enters Stage 3 restrictions they are for the moment as follows:
Visiting hours are 10 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 7pm
Those under the age of 16 are not allowed to visit a hospital unless visiting a patient to provide support near the end of their life (other situations can be assessed, but please call ahead on 4744 4444).
The main hospital doors will be closed restricting access to a maximum of two support persons per patient.
Public wishing to access the hospital will be asked a series of questions to determine if they can visit the facility.
